TOP 5 AILMENTS IN THE CREATIVE REALM: PART 3: GREED & MALICE
These ailments, greed and malice are no stranger to us; be it in business or generally in life. These are inherent human traits and it would be a little naive to assume that parties to any agreement cannot be driven by any of these two vices.
Malice and greed are the top two reasons as to why contracts have to be in black and white. In turn, it is the reason that I argue that there is no such thing as a Gentleman’s Agreement. Even if you are in business with a family relative, they too are likely to get greedy or malicious. They too are human! Everyone wants to be rich and everyone wants the bigger slice of any profit to be in their favour. I argue that in business, money makes the man!
I cannot help but reiterate that agreements must be in writing to protect one’s self from loss or just from unending drama.
This must be the shortest post I have written so far. I do not want to be verbose about it. It is plain and simple…
To kill these vices, put it in writing, sign and shake on it. Do not just shake on it!
